Membership in the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago is open to working journalists, affiliated practitioners and new journalists on the following terms…
FULL MEMBERS
Any member of the media with at least three years’ experience at a media house
Anyone with at least three years’ full-time journalistic experience who satisfies the Executive that he or she devotes a major part of his or her time to and/or earns a major part of his or her income from journalism
PROBATIONARY MEMBERS
Any full-time journalist at a bona fide media house with less than three years’ experience
TEMPORARY MEMBERS
Visiting bona fide media workers
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Associate membership is open to practitioners in public relations, information and advertising, and from other related fields as decided from time to time by the general membership. Associates may not vote at any general meeting.
FEES
REGISTRATION: TT$60 (for new members)
MEMBERSHIP FEE: TT$75
Given the challenges of operating under pandemic restrictions, new members and members wishing to renew during this period are encouraged to download the membership form available at this page in Microsoft Word and PDF formats, fill it out either electronically or after printing it, then either scan or take a clean, evenly lit photo of the document and submit it to MATT via email.
