“Somebody said this. I would rather have bad media than none at all. No democracy truly thrive without unfettered media. Let us make certain we protect a free media at all times.”

Dale Enoch has been a journalist for 35 years and is currently the Head of News at One Caribbean Media and co-host of the Tony and Dale Morning Show.

He has served as president of the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago in the mid-90s.

Enoch started in the profession as a freelancer with the TNT Mirror newspaper under the guidance of Patrick Chokolingo and Keith Sheppard, to name just two of several mentors.

He went on to the BOMB and HEAT newspapers and was mentored by professionals like Ramjohn Ali and Suzanne Sheppard before he was given a chance by Wesley Gibbings to freelance with NBS radio.

Within three years, he became the co-host of the now-iconic Morning show along with Tony Lee.

The Tony and Dale Morning Show has had at least four incarnations, each one more successful than the other. Today the talk show is still considered the leader in morning radio.

As successful as the show is, Dale Enoch sees himself as a journalist first. He heads the news department of OCM’s network of 5 radio stations.

He leads a team of 8 journalists in Trinidad and Tobago and his news packages reach several affiliates in the Caribbean region several times per day.
