The National AIDS Coordinating Committee (NACC) in collaboration with the HIV Workplace Advocacy Unit (HWAU), Ministry of Labour and UNAIDS,  invite you to our 2-Day Sensitization Workshop themed “HIV and AIDS and the Media- Responsible Reporting and Advocating for HIV Prevention”.

This is also an opportunity to access Trinidad and Tobago data and HIV response stakeholder interviews ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1.

This event aims to build a sustainable partnership with the media to act as advocates for change. It will cover:

  1. responsible reporting of HIV and AIDS;
  2. gender sensitivity;
  3. how to present accurate information on HIV and AIDS and
  4. the role of  the media in stemming the perpetuation of stigma and discrimination.
